the Eight, Exalted

     Strange events, alarming visitations and violent incidents are breaking out all across the city of Colwell, baffling authorities and those closest to the carnage. Who are the Progeny? What is the Cognate? And who is the Lord-God of the Void?

     ‘From Above the Eight, Exalted’ is a fragmentary exploration into the lives of the recruited cult Adherents who are looking for a way to validate their existence, impress their masters and to be of some importance in these desperate troubling times; their greatest wish is to be welcomed into the secretive group known as the Progeny, and led by the eight Siblings who are at the forefront of a new and powerful movement. But at what cost can this become a reality?

     First, these followers must show their worth by completing carefully selected tasks, each one bringing them closer to Enlightenment, and a place within the Sibling’s inner circle. But what if, like the Dissenters, the Adherents falter or are deemed undeserving? Who warrants a punishment, and who will be doing the punishing?

     All will become clear after He returns from Contemplation.

     Only He knows the answers, and His word is final.

     His decree will come down from above the Eight, exalted.

     And it will be the one and only truth.

     So be it.

     This bizarre tale is a twisted journey into the human psyche, and questions what one is willing to sacrifice for even a modicum of acceptance, sense of importance, and power.
